As a member of Vivre en Ville, Performa attended the 6th edition of Rendez-vous Collectivités viables, a conference on viable communities held on June 22, 2022. The discussions led to the development of ambitious goals, as well as key strategies and tools. We also heard about the inspiring results stemming from the solutions proposed by the Intergovernmental panel on climate change (IPCC).
It was very interesting to hear Valérie Plante and Bruno Marchand share their perspectives during the keynote presentation on the challenges of transition. Here are some of the topics that were covered:
> Making communities more resilient and reducing their dependence on carbon
> Adapting neighbourhoods to the priorities of the 21st century
> Transforming existing and future buildings
> Changing transportation habits and ways of getting around
At Performa, we feel honoured to have the opportunity to improve the quality of the places people call home. Thanks to the event organizers and panelists for this enriching experience.
